Half Day Salmon Fishing

Your 5-hour fishing excursion begins at the Sitka Alaska Outfitters shop; this is where you will be outfitted for your trip.  Please purchase your fishing license online before you arrive. A one-day license for this trip costs $15 per person and no additional stamps are needed.  Then it’s off to board your boat and go fishing.  Your boat is custom aluminum built for fishing fully equipped with fishing gear and tackle, navigation electronics and all required safety equipment. The boat is equipped with a small restroom. The boat is stocked with snacks and beverages for your trip and also bait for fishing. The approximately 4 hours fishing is just the right amount of time to catch some fish and enjoy the incredible scenery of Sitka Sound.  This recreational fishing excursion is all about having fun on the water and fishing, so we target salmon and rockfish that are abundant in Sitka Sound. These no take fishing trips practice catch, and release and use deep water release techniques when appropriate to minimize harm to the fish.
