This private 3-hour excursion for up to 6 people takes you along Alaska's coast and inside passage in protected waters and into estuaries. These are the best places for you to look for wildlife such as Alaska Coastal Brown Bears, Sitka Blacktail Deer, American Bald Eagles, River Otters, Mink, and many other species of birds. Don't be surprised if you happen upon a Humpback Whale or Sea Otters along the way as they are common in the waters near Sitka. After exploring the shoreline for a while disembark the vessel with a guide where you will enjoy a 1 hour guided walk to explore the shoreline. You will be provided bear safety instructions and bear deterrents, and your guide will also carry bear protection. You will really enjoy this exciting time in bear country. Along the way there are opportunities to view different parts of the shoreline and adjacent forest. Seasonal wildflowers and fungi can be beautiful unexpected finds while ashore.
